Designers Ken Leung and Dana Chin, who comprise the creative team BYLU (pronounced "blue"), drew inspiration for their debut collection from a time in antiquity when women's contributions to society were admired and worshipped. They took symbols from Isis, the Egyptian mother-goddess, and reinterpreted them for a more contemporary audience. Faceted gemstones with soft contours and billowy lines have chains representing water-droplets flowing through them, emblems of creation and the bringing forth of life and the tears that flow from the eye.
