Lata K Designs set to Unveil Ground-Breaking Collections at JCK Las Vegas
This summer at JCK Las Vegas, Lata K will unveil her highly anticipated new transformable designs. The designer continues to delight her fans by creating even more beautiful jewelry with an ingenious element of surprise. The Small Whimsy Flower converts from playful studs to shoulder-dusters, charm necklaces and lariats. The limited edition Butterfly undertakes a jaw-dropping metamorphosis as it changes from a spectacular pendant/brooch into a complete suite of jewelry that includes a ring, earrings and pendant. Customize the Teardrop collection to fit any occasion; wear it casually as a single drop, or purchase additional drops to create an elegant ensemble. Additionally, the original Whimsy Flower cocktail ring shown here has now arrived in an endless variety of colors, textures, and sizes. It can also be worn as a bracelet or on an elegant collar necklace. Single pictures like this are really too limited to adequately show the versatility of her pieces. Click here to see more of what they can do. Better yet, visit Lata K at JCK Las Vegas in Design Center booth #18150 or at JA NY in Galleria booth #508 to watch product demonstrations and to fully appreciate the collection. From Gretchen Julius, an inspired combination of whimsy and elegance
Gretchen Julius's collections demonstrate how she can mix glamour and fun in jewelry that can be worn all day and into the night. Take, for example, the elephant at the right from her African Safari collection. It's clearly an animal but made with preciouus materials -- 18k gold and diamonds. That combination keeps it light-hearted but with an edge of glamour. And there are are rhinos, camels, zebras and others to choose from. Her new Cluster collection has the same mix of lightness of spirit and richness of material only this time the motifs are natural elements like sea foam. It's obvious that she creates with a smile on her face, beaming with fun and excitement that she translates into whimsical, elegant jewelry. More examples and more information are here. Better yet, see these new works during the JCK Show in Las Vegas at the Fragments booth, #17140. Also please visit her website.

Harking back to a time when when women ruled comes Isis, a debut collection inspired by the female silhouette
Designers Ken Leung and Dana Chin, who comprise the creative team BYLU (pronounced "blue"), drew inspiration for their debut collection from a time in antiquity when women's contributions to society were admired and worshipped. They took symbols from Isis, the Egyptian mother-goddess, and reinterpreted them for a more contemporary audience. Faceted gemstones with soft contours and billowy lines have chains representing water-droplets flowing through them, emblems of creation and the bringing forth of life and the tears that flow from the eye. There's magic here. For more information click here, visit them in the AGTA pavilion at the JCK Show ~ Las Vegas at booth 34616, check out the Bylu website or contact them at the following:

New diamond beads with their unmistakable sparkle give Stacey Krantz's new line an added glow
Maryland-based designer Stacey Krantz has struck diamond pay dirt with her new collection of 18k gold jewelry highlighted with diamond beads. Diamond beads are actual diamonds that are not clear enough to be cut but come in uniquely beautiful colors and still have the unmistakable sparkle of a diamond. Once considered scrap, they have taken on a new life with Ms. Krantz's vibrant collection that pairs them with 18k gold and colored stones that complement the hues of the diamonds. The diamond beads in the "Seed" earrings at right are a teal blue, and the stones at the bottom are prasiolite briolettes. Very attention-getting. But to really appreciate the designs and the detail in the workmanship, you have to either hold them in your hand or see them in a larger size picture. You can do the latter by clicking here for a tour of the new line in all its sparkling glory. Or you can view them first-hand at the JA Show in New York in the New Designer Gallery of the Couture/IJDG pavilion on Level IV or in Philadelphia the Buyer's Market show.

Fused, fabricated, repousséd, granulated, woven - Patricia Tschetter spares nothing making new classics
Even a cursory look at the relatively small picture on the left shows how much Patricia Tschetter puts into her work. The gold is 18k and 22k and it is matched with a large Tahitian pearl and a moonstone (as in this case) or any one of a number of precious materials like rainbow pyrite drusy, tourmaline, sapphires, peridot briolettes or champagne diamonds. If the design calls for it, she will even include something like Idaho river rock. But all her work is lush and rich and takes your breath away. That includes the new silver line she will be introducing at the Buyer's Market of American Craft show in Philadelphia. The new silver line incorporates gold granulation -- a combination that must be seen.
For larger pictures and more information please click here or contact Patricia Tschetter directly.

From The Touch: Brilliant Solutions to Consumer Resistance to Rising Gold Prices
In response to retailers concerns over the volatile gold market, The Touch has created two new collections in stainless steel and in titanium. We needed to give retailers a price-stable product to move while consumers adjust to the higher price of gold," states George Simpson, the company president. "Titanium and stainless steel are very fashionable now and the reliable lower cost of materials made them an obvious choice. The Mariners Collection shown here features bracelets, necklaces and earrings using stainless steel cable with elegant clasps and gold accents. The new Black Silk collection of affordably priced necklaces features delicate stations scattered on multiple strands of a coated titanium alloy, nitinol - the most elastic metal on earth, meaning that it wont kink. The nautical version depicts delicate creatures from the sea floating on thin black lines. For a better look at this new jewelry, click here or visit The Touch website at www.the-touch.com.
