The
Jewelers Resource Bureau provides the fine jewelry
industry with marketing, publishing and trade show expertise
that promotes designer-owned businesses.
The company was founded in 1991 with one goal and one goal only
to support the growth of designer fine jewelry as a retail

custom publications and the kind of targeted marketing tools
that designer entrepreneurs need to run their businesses most

Cindy Edelstein, founder and president of Jeweler's
Resource, was awarded the prestigious Benne Award by the American
Jewelry Design Council in 1995, and was the 1996 winner of the
Contemporary Design Groups
award as Best Designer Advocate. In 1990, she received the Womens Jewelry Associations
Award for Editorial Excellence. And in 2001 she was recognized
again by the group for her Excelence in Marketing. Her byline
can be seen in many trade and consumer magazines.
She has traveled internationally to such far-flung destinations
as Thailand, Brazil and Ireland to present speeches, workshops
and private consultations to industry groups and individual artisans
to enlighten them about the American designer business.
Before starting the JRB she was the Fashion Editor for JCK
magazine, and now serves as a consultant to JCK as coordinator
of their highly successful Design Centers at the two JCK
Shows. In 1996 she launched the first designer jewelry pavilion
in the American Gem Trade Associations
Tucson GemFair.
In 2000, Jewelers Resource launched globalDESIGN,
the first trade show for international studio jewelers. This
event presents an elite collection of the worlds finest
artisans to the American craft gallery audience.
The Jewelers Resource Bureau publishes the Designers
Annual Planning Guide, the SOURCEBOOK
for DESIGNERS and ARTISANS and dozens of online reports addressing
the myriad of concerns facing professional jewelry designer entrepreneurs.
We also produce an annual designer-oriented conference, designerDAY:
The Business Conference for Jewelry Designers, in conjunction
with MJSA.
Frank Stankus, vice president, joined the company in 1996 after
many years at The New York
Times. His career there included positions in the foreign
news, technology and ergonomics departments before he was appointed
editor of the newspapers in-house magazine, Times Talk.
He brings to Jeweler's Resource sharp editorial skills, a keen
design sense and expertise in computer and internet technology.
Frank has maintained his writing chops while handling creative
and technical projects at Jeweler's Resource by authoring numerous
articles in many of the jewelry industry's leading publications,
including JCK, AJM,
Lustre, InStore
and several others.
Together Cindy and Frank have built a team dedicated to promoting
designers and their work. |
