Max's Chocolate Baskets
By Ellen Hertz

While we think our book is the best jewelry industry client gift ever made (yeah, we're biased), this basket of exotic chocolate goodies has got to be the next best thing.

Ellen Hertz, the owner of Max's, a unique shop in Minneapolis that features the somewhat unlikely combination of jewelry, decorative home goods and exceptional chocolate confections, provides a basket-of-chocolate gift service.

Pictured here is the standard size offering for $100 plus an $8 UPS packaging fee and the cost of shipping (usually $9-$14). JRB Inner Circle members (formerly known as JRB Network members) get 20% off ). There's some pretty exotic stuff here; refer to the list below for specifics.

Ellen says she can modify the contents to meet specific needs such as all milk chocolate, no nuts, lower cost, etc.

Ellen can't guarantee that she will always be able to get the exact products listed below and may have to make substitutions. Not to worry, though. Knowing Ellen's exquisite taste -- she won a Top Retailer Award from Niche magazine last year -- even the substitutions will be spectacular.

You can reach Ellen by phone at 952-922-8364
by fax at 952-922-8372 or
via e-mail at ellen@stylebymax.com.

Here is what the contents of the basket look like without the wrapping, and below it is a list of the contents. Exotic, indeed!

Charles Chocolates: Triple Chocolate Covered Almonds (milk chocolate, dark chocolate, rolled in cocoa powder)

Terry's Toffee: Peppermint Pistachio Crunch

Askinosie Chocolate: 75% Dark Mexican Sipping Chocolate

Sweet on Vermont: 3 Assorted Dark Chocolate Bars

Galler: 70% Dark Belgian Chocolate Bar

Galler: 2 Assorted Filled Belgian Chocolate Bars

Republica Del Cacao: 75% Dark Ecuadorian Chocolate Bar

Mari's NY: Six Assorted Brownies (Classic Chocolate, Caramel Sea Salt, Coconut, Thai Coffee, Heat and Blonde Bombshell)

Madecasse: Mora Mora 73% Chocolate Bar from Madagascar

V Chocolates: Chocolate Covered Sea Salt Caramels (assorted milk and dark chocolate)

Sweet Bliss: Assorted Karamel Kickbacks (chocolate, chocolate nut, kahlua and cream, pecan, nougat)

Maglio: Assorted Single Origin Mini Bars (made from beans from Africa, Cuba, Equador, Santo Domingo)

Nirvana Chocolates: Caramel Filled Dark Chocolate Balls, Praline Filled Milk Chocolate Balls

Make a memorable impression on those special clients. Call Ellen.

(Of course, there's always the non-client chocoholic who will love you forever when presented something this amazing. Consider the possibilities . . . .)
