Helena Krodel & Amanda Gizzi, the JIC chicks
Amanda Gizzi and Helena Krodel, the JIC chicks as they're known on twitter, are committed to promoting fine jewelry in the consumer press.
Following JIC's mission to help increase consumer awareness of fine jewelry and drive traffic into retail stores, JIC highlights jewelry and watch trends, gift ideas, and savvy shopping tips to the viewing and listening audiences. The Jewelry Information Center is a service of Jewelers of America, the national organization of retail jewelers.
For the first time the gals will be giving a
One-hour Media Training Workshop
to help Summit designers learn how best to talk with the press effectively and represent their brand eloquently.
This one-hour workshop will teach you:
How to keep your composure
How to know what your message should be
How to stay on message
How to answer tricky questions
How to engage even the most boring interviewer
... and so much more
Next, some editorial attention!
The second part of the day doesn't require your attendance --
but your jewelry will get to meet a lot of editors.
Helena and Amanda will invite trade and consumer editors to visit their offices in the afternoon to preview a mini-collection from our Summit designers.
Bring up to six items and your press kits for display in the JIC's conference room.
And for the next few hours the JIC Chicks will entertain editors
and show them your work. You come back at 5pm and pick up your jewels. And hear the response the editors had for your work.
This is a fantastic opportunity for every designer --
but one only the first 25 Summit Attendees
can have as long as you are a current or new JIC member.
Read the JIC Website to learn about joining this great, supportive organization.
Again, this opportunity is FREE for Summit Attendees that are current JIC/JA Members.
